About this experience
This is not a typical tour — it’s a 9-day horse-riding journey through Xinjiang’s wild landscapes, designed for first-time riders who want to try something new and find calm in nature.
Your adventure begins at Kuerdening Ranch, where you’ll meet your horse and learn to ride with friendly guides. Take part in hands-on activities like grooming, braiding a whip, and learning simple ranch skills. Along the way, experience Kazakh traditions — watch local horse games, share tea with nomadic families, and enjoy their warm hospitality.
You’ll also receive a horse-riding certificate and professional photos to capture your experience and personal progress.
You’ll ride where cars cannot, passing through forests, meadows, and valleys, stopping for picnics at mountain viewpoints. In the evenings, return to the ranch for a bonfire celebration with music, dancing, and a grilled feast under the stars.
In the final days, explore Xinjiang’s most breathtaking sights — the wide Kalajun Grassland and the stunning Sayram Lake, which turns golden and purple at sunset.
This journey blends soft adventure, nature, and culture. It’s a chance to slow down, reconnect with the wild, and return home with new confidence, new memories, and a story you’ll always keep.

Arrive in Yining and settle in. Visit the Kazanqi Folk Quarter to see Uyghur-style houses and handicrafts. Walk along Liuxing Street, known for its blend of cultures and historic buildings.

Day 2 – First Contact with Horses
Travel to Kuerdening Ranch. Begin by grooming the horses to build familiarity and trust. Under the guidance of trainers, learn groundwork such as leading, stopping, and turning.
Join a workshop to braid horsewhips, then watch traditional Kazakh equestrian games like Buzkashi and Kyz Kuu.

Day 3 – Learning the Basics
In the training arena, focus on posture and moving naturally with your horse’s stride.
Take your first short trail ride along a forest path suitable for beginners.
Later, visit a Kazakh nomadic family. Join in daily activities such as milking and making dairy products while learning about local traditions.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (Xinjiang specialties)
Day 4 – Mountain Ride and Camping
Ride along a beginner-friendly mountain trail with stops at scenic viewpoints and riversides for photos.
Highlights include:
- A picnic at a scenic viewpoint.
- A chance to try a short gallop on flat ground.
- Professional photos taken during the ride.
In the evening, stay at a private Stargazing Camp, with tents and dinner provided.
👉 If you do not wish to camp, transport will be arranged back to the ranch resort.

Day 5 – Riding and Celebration
Continue riding across meadows and valleys, with time to stop at viewpoints.
In the evening, return to the ranch for a bonfire celebration with music, dancing, and barbecue.

Day 6 – Kalajun Grassland （喀拉峻·人体草原）
After breakfast, say goodbye to the horses and coaches. Travel to the Kalajun Grassland （喀拉峻·人体草原）, known for its wide, undulating landscapes. Walk the Flower Terrace and enjoy open views from Falcon Terrace, with snow-capped mountains and canyons in the distance.

Day 7 – Sayram Lake （赛里木湖·大西洋的最后一滴眼泪）
Drive past the Guozigou Bridge, a landmark built across the Tianshan gorge.
Arrive at Sayram Lake （赛里木湖·大西洋的最后一滴眼泪）. Spend time along the shoreline. Sunset is the best time to visit, when the lake shifts from deep blue to golden tones and soft purple.

Day 8 – Return to Yining
Travel back to Yining and check into a city hotel. The day is free to explore, shop, or enjoy local food.
